| 1. | Re: band management Posted by chrisjconnelly on 19/06/2009 00:03:03 Hi Broughy
Yes we will be managing bands, we currently manage a band called Brazen and you can see them in Battle of the Bands at Knypersley Sports Club on Saturday 20th June. We intend to develop lots of bands and help them move forward in the music industry. Hope you can take part in this.

| 2. | Re: Sky Shop! Posted by chrisjconnelly on 19/02/2008 09:58:12 That's a good idea. We were also thinking of having a swap shop web page where you can exchange instruments and accessories like for like. Would that be of use? |
| 3. | Re: Sky Shop! Posted by chrisjconnelly on 19/02/2008 22:56:36 We already have someone who will be doing repairs. Why do you have a bass amp?? |
| 4. | Re: Sky Shop! Posted by chrisjconnelly on 26/03/2008 08:31:07 Hi Matt
What is the bass amp that you have. |
| 5. | Re: Bass Posted by chrisjconnelly on 12/01/2008 11:04:58 can't go wrong with an Ibanez Bass and a Laney amp to start with |
| 6. | Re: Bass Posted by chrisjconnelly on 05/02/2008 10:08:00 The BTB series are a good starter for about £180 upwards or if you have a bit more to spend try the EDB550 at around £350 |
| 7. | Re: Work Experiance Posted by chrisjconnelly on 19/02/2008 10:01:11 handling alcohol is only allowed for over 18's, but there will be food too. |
| 8. | Re: New Amp + New Multi FX Posted by chrisjconnelly on 05/02/2008 10:15:00 depends on your budget. A Marshall MG100DFX is 100W with inbuilt effects for £220 will do the job but if you want a better sound I would try to find a second hand marshall cab and head. I got mine for £350. If you want a seperate pedal, the zoom series make a good noise but again I would prefer seperate stomp boxes which start at around £30.

| 9. | Re: Equipment Posted by chrisjconnelly on 28/09/2007 09:08:36 we have got some equipment for the rehearsal rooms, but we still ned to go shopping for more. Why not make this your opportunity to add to our shopping list. What equipment do you want? |
| 10. | Thought I'd better introduce myself! Posted by chrisjconnelly on 27/09/2007 23:32:50 mmmm, where do I start? First and foremost, although I am a director of the company I am a musician with 30 years experience; still playing and still teaching. My aim is to pass on all I know to all of you and help your progress in the music industry. I am very approachable and willing to give advice to everyone and anyone.
I first started playing at around 14 years old and performed my first gig at the same age at the cafe in South Park Macclesfield. One of the best ... |
| 11. | Re: Thought I'd better introduce myself! Posted by chrisjconnelly on 16/12/2007 08:39:37 Yes we do have the first floor and a small part of the ground floor but its is still over 6000 square feet. Don't worry there will be a lift. The rehearsal rooms have not yet been fully costed but they will be from about £5 per hour to £12.

| 12. | The Likeness in Biddulph Posted by chrisjconnelly on 16/11/2007 10:47:54 The Likeness will be hosting the World Famous Biddulph Christmas lights switch on on 24th November at the Town Hall steps. There will be a supporting band to be confirmed. Maybe it could be you? |
| 13. | Re: Equipment Question Posted by chrisjconnelly on 27/09/2007 22:55:07 I think you've just answered your own question. The marshall head has a great all valve sound. You can get emulators that get close and there are some great pedals like the boss range of distortion pedals, but you can't beat a good analogue valve distortion.
Saying that though, one of the best sounds I had was when I was about 14 and my parents couldn't afford an amp for me (Sob Sob), I took an old transistor radio and somehow wired a guitar lead to its circuit bored. the gain ... |

The profile will be soon as My wife has demanded that I take time off for my Birthday ( Saturday, don't spend to much on my present!) so it will hopefully be next week. Please post other niggles here. |
